Help with frame
choice.
We believe that thereís no such thing
as the wrong shaped face for glasses, only the wrong
shaped glasses for your face! When you consider
the variety of frame styles, shapes and colours available,
this must be true.
Shape
Fashion gurus categorise faces into
seven primary shapes, round, heart, inverted heart,
oblong, square, oval and diamond and each category has
a frame shape that either compliments it or conflicts
with it.
Oval faces, for example, suit most
frames but those with round or square faces should avoid
similarly shaped frames, as these will accentuate their
roundness or squareness.
Colour
Likewise, gun metal, grey or black
frames will usually look better on people with black
or grey hair than, say, gold frames so it is important
to find the shade or colour that best suits your colouring.
Image
Not to be forgotten! A primary
school teacher will want to portray a very different
image to a captain of industry, so identical twins in
different professions might well find themselves wearing
quite different glasses, yet both looking perfect!
Confused? Donít be. At Optique
there are staff that are trained to help you select
the spectacle style that best suits you and your face
so use their expertise and remember, with spectacles
you can change the way you look overnight, for better
or worse!

Frames
The best thing to have happened to
spectacles in recent years is their acceptance as a
fashion item. Most wearers now have more than
one pair which is hardly surprising as there is so much
to choose from.
Every Optique frame starts its life
in a design studio where a combination of style and
practicalities rule the day. Materials play an
important part; all our metal frames, for example, are
made from lightweight alloys for maximum comfort, with
titanium being an increasingly popular choice.
Plastic frames come in a huge array
of colours and styles and many of the patterns are hand
finished for individuality.
The advent
of the minimalist look has resulted in a demand for
ìsupraî and ìrimlessî designs that render the frame
element almost invisible. This look is extremely
popular and has the added advantage of being exceptionally
light. Indeed some of Optique' s rimless frames
actually weigh less than two phone cards!
